BHP Billiton Jansen Mine Hoist House Buildings

‍TESC was engaged by DMC Mining to supply and install two hoist house building foundations and then design, supply and erect two pre-engineered hoist house buildings on the supplied slabs.

‍

The project included structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil works as well as the installation of the hoist and associated anchors. The project involved securing all relevant work permits, site orientations, site trailers, risk analysis for crane operation, rigging/hoisting of frames, bracing, purlins, girts, roof purlins and miscellaneous steel. Additional works included the installation of exterior wall cladding, roof panels, flashing, soffits, installation, vapour barrier, interior liner, ventilator, louvers, all interior work, site cleanup and demobilization.

The TESC team accomplished this project safely with zero lost time injuries.
